[Press Release] For nonprofit professionals who spend their days supporting others, finding time to focus on their own wellbeing can be difficult. This September, the Community Foundation of Greater New Britain (CFGNB) is offering local nonprofit staff an opportunity to step away from the day-to-day demands of their work and dedicate a day to their own health, wellbeing, priorities, and goals.

CFGNB will host Roadmap to Wellbeing: Strategies for Health & Success on Friday, September 18, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Klingberg Family Centers in New Britain. The free, full-day capacity-building workshop is open to staff of nonprofit organizations serving Berlin, New Britain, Plainville, and Southington.

Facilitated by Alicia Davis and Stacie Watson of Transformative Leadership Services, the workshop will use the Results Roadmap™ coaching process to help participants create a personalized roadmap for improving their overall health and wellbeing.

Throughout the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to:

• Identify areas of their health and overall wellbeing they would like to improve

• Reflect on their Core Values and how they can guide healthier decisions

• Identify realistic goals and the steps needed to achieve them

• Explore practical wellbeing strategies that can be incorporated into work and everyday life

• Develop a personalized 90-day action plan to put those strategies into practice

This interactive workshop is designed to be more than a day of listening to a presenter. Participants will have dedicated time to reflect, plan, and create a roadmap tailored to their own goals and priorities, giving them practical tools they can carry forward into both their work and personal lives.

Nonprofit professionals give so much of themselves to the communities they serve. Creating space for them to pause, reflect, and invest in their own wellbeing is an important part of building strong and sustainable organizations.

“Our Capacity Building Program is designed to respond to what we’re hearing from our nonprofit partners, and one of the needs we continue to hear about is the strain being placed on nonprofit staff and leaders,” said Joeline Wruck, Director of Grants and Initiatives and manager of the Foundation’s Capacity Building Program. “This workshop gives them an opportunity to invest in their own wellbeing and walk away with practical strategies they can put into action.”

Breakfast and lunch will be provided at no cost to participants. Space is limited, and registration is currently open.
