Press Release: UNICO Fundraiser Notte d’Amore

The UNICO Club of Southington is once again conducting its popular Valentine’s Day initiative, Notte d’Amore, which is a gift bag fundraiser.

Each gift bag contains a $50 gift card to the New Mill, a $25 gift card to Pesto’s, two bottles of wine (red and white), Italian and assorted chocolate candies and a red rose. The gift bags must be pre-ordered and will be available for pick up at Southington Community Cultural Arts (SOCCA), 93 Main Street, Southington (adjacent to the Town Hall) on Saturday, February 14, between the hours of 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. The cost is $100 per gift bag.

There are a limited gift bags (150), so please order as soon as possible as they do go quickly. The last day to order is noon on Friday, February 13. Purchasing is also available on UNICO’s website www.southingtonunico.org by clicking on our Notte D’Amore event. There is an additional $4.00 admin fee per bag for using this service.

Southington UNICO regularly supports local charities and organizations such as Bread for Life, Relay for Life, Southington Community Services, Unified Sports (a trademark of Special Olympics), Cooley's Anemia Foundation, local scholarships for Nursing and General Studies as well as the numerous requests for help we receive throughout the year for very deserving causes. All proceeds from this fundraiser will support these various undertakings.

Southington UNICO is a service-oriented nonprofit organization that embraces three objectives: service to fellow man and community, fostering and promoting Italian heritage, and supporting charitable educational projects.
