One person was shot at Cadillac Ranch at 45 Jude Lane in Southington on Wednesday night, according to an initial report released by the Southington Police Department.

During the course of a physical altercation in the parking lot, a gun was discharged and a 25-year-old male victim was shot in the torso. He remains in critical condition as of Thursday and is expected to survive his injuries.

A 44-year-old man was also found to have suffered wounds from an apparent assault by four bystanders at the scene and was transported to the hospital, where he is in stable condition. Videos from witnesses show a man being detained by police while covered in what appears to be blood:

His role in the shooting is unconfirmed as of Thursday. The identities of both individuals are being withheld.

Initial reports of a second, 23 year old shooting victim have proven to be unfounded.

Southington Police, accompanied by teams from Plainville, New Britain, Farmington, Bristol and Berlin, responded to the scene at 7:00 pm. Responders found a large crowd and a firearm on the scene.

“Officers arrived to find a very congested crowd throughout the parking lot and inside the establishment, consisting of motorcycle enthusiasts as well as members of several motorcycle clubs,” said Lieutenant Matthew Hammell in a statement.

Four individuals were arrested by Southington Police and charged with Assault in the Second Degree.

James McDermott, 52, of Waterbury, Gerard McAfee, 54, of Branford, Philip Gugliotti, 55, of Waterbury and Harley Woodbury, 31, of Terryville are all being held on $150,000 bond and are expected to appear in New Britain Superior Court today.

Four additional individuals who wore matching vests were arrested on charges of interfering with an Officer. Kevin Lawlor, 48, of Derby, William Schneiter, 60, of Baltic, Marc Debenigno, 49, of Waterbury and Zarif Ramadanov, 46, of Bethany were released on bond and are expected to appear in New Britain Superior Court on July 29, 2026.

The shooting occurred during Cadillac Ranch’s monthly Bike Night event, which features live music, food and vendors every third Wednesday of the month during the summer. Proceeds benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Connecticut State Police are assisting in the ongoing investigation, and police are seeking further information from anyone with videos, photos or additional information, who are asked to contact the Southington Police Department at 860-378-1642 or 860-378-1646.
