The following two letters were submitted to support Linda Pierce (D), who is running to represent the 30th District in the State House. Note that the opinions expressed in the letters do not necessarily represent those of the Southington Outsider.

To the Editor:

I’ve had the good fortune of getting to know Linda Pierce over the last few years, during a time when politics seems more about arguing than listening.  Linda is a candidate who offers something far different than divisive politics and rhetoric.

Linda is genuinely committed to all she does, and those she knows. She has spent her career teaching, empowering others, and working to protect the places that make Connecticut special. She’s not running for a title. Linda is running because she believes government should work for the people it represents.

Linda is a candidate who will work for all her constituents – not just those who vote for her. We need more of that type of non-partisan leadership in Hartford.

Berlin and Southington deserve a state representative who shows up, listens, and acts. I will enthusiastically cast my vote for Linda Pierce and encourage you to do so as well.

To the Editor:

Property taxes, electric bills, groceries, insurance. Everything costs more nowadays, and families in Berlin and Southington are feeling the pressure.

I'm tired of politicians pointing fingers and offering catchy promises without explaining how they'll actually make life better.

That's why I support Linda Pierce for State Representative, District 30. She understands that lowering costs requires thoughtful solutions, responsible spending, and cooperation between state and local government.

Linda isn't afraid to ask difficult questions or challenge ideas that sound good but don't deliver meaningful results.

We need someone in Hartford who will focus on solving problems rather than scoring political points. Linda Pierce has the practical approach we need.
